We know that insurance can be complicated and, often times, lead to more questions than answers when families and business owners start looking for coverage. We are here to help simplify the process and explain it in a way that makes sense to you.

Although we are available to answer your questions, we are working to create a reference for some of the most common questions we get from clients just like you. Our goal is to help you feel confident and comfortable with the information necessary to make an informed decision.

  • What is the purpose of the Local Business Resource Guide list?
    We are proud to support our local community in Omaha, Nebraska by providing this free resource of local metro businesses, especially highlighting those that are Women, Minority, and Veteran owned. We believe that local businesses are a fundamental and essential part of our economy and community. As a local business ourselves, we believe in supporting others fulfill their dreams as entrepreneurs and want to encourage others to do the same, when possible.
  • I own a local business, but do not identify as a woman, minority, or veteran, am I still eligible to participate in the business listing?
    Yes, we would love to include your business. While we choose to highlight specific types of business owners (women, minorities, veterans) we are proud to support all local businesses.
  • Does my business have to self-identify as woman, minority, and/or veteran owned?
    No. This ownership identification is completely optional. Our intention is to utilize these categories solely to help identify businesses for additional support by those patrons interested in doing so. You may choose to not participate or change your mind at any time.
  • Is there any cost to having a business listed on the Local Business Resource List?
    No. The Local Business Resource List is sponsored and provided free of charge by The Legacy Guardians Insurance and Financial Solutions. Please consider sharing the tool and support our neighbor businesses.
  • Am I able to submit a request for a business to be added even if I am not the business owner?
    Yes, we would appreciate your recommendation if you feel confident the information your providing is accurate. We reserve the right to reach out to you and/or the business owner with additional questions, if needed. If a business does not wish to be listed, we will gladly remove their information.
  • I own a franchise that operates locally, is my business eligible to be added?
    Our definition of "local" can include individuals who own franchises as long as the location owners live and employ others in the Omaha Metro area, or surrounding communities. Ideally, these businesses are still "small" in nature. Any submissions are subject to approval by The Legacy Guardians and its representatives. Please contact us to discuss your specific situation if you have additional questions.
  • What should I do if I do not see a subcategory listed that adequately describes my business?
    Our resource is continuing to evolve regularly. If we do not already have a subcategory that generally can help identify the nature of your business correctly, please select "OTHER". In doing so, the administrators will review your submission and generally make updates as needed to include a new subcategory. Please help us properly identify your business by listing a 1-3 word description for a proper subcategory title in the free form comments. At our sole discretion, a representative from The Legacy Guardians will re-categorize your business listing, as needed. Please note: At this time, we are not permitting listings for businesses that actively sell tobacco, marijuana, or illegal substances or paraphernalia of any kind. Please contact us with questions.
  • How can I update my business information that is already listed, but is incomplete and/or incorrect?
    While we cannot guarantee that the information listed in our Local Business Resource List is accurate or complete, we are happy to help correct it if we are made aware of an issue. Please contact us here to request an update be made.
  • I had a poor interaction with a business listed on the Local Business Resource List, who should I contact?
    We are sorry to hear that you did not have an exceptional experience with a third party company listed on the Local Business Resource List. Please contact that business directly to share your feedback and discuss further, if necessary. If you feel you would not recommend a business listed based on your experience, please contact us privately to discuss. Businesses listed may be added automatically by submitting an electronic form on our website, but it is up to the discretion of The Legacy Guardians as to whether or not a business will maintain their listing. The Legacy Guardians is not affiliated with any third-party business listed and cannot warranty their work, nor your satisfaction should you decide to do business with them. Please conduct your own research before working with any business, whether listed here or not, and use at your own risk.
  • Is The Legacy Guardians affiliated with this group of businesses on the Local Business Resource List?
    The Legacy Guardians, LLC is not affiliated with the companies listed on the Local Business Resource List, nor do we warranty their work. We strongly advise you to conduct your own research before choosing to conduct business with any company, whether on our list or not. Please proceed at your own risk.
  • What are the standard hours of operation?
    Our working hours are typically Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 5:00PM CT, except on federally observed national holidays in which the stock market is closed. Due to the nature of our business occassionally requiring offsite meetings, we recommend calling ahead for same day in person availability or scheduling a meeting in advance.   • What are telematic programs? Will using telematics increase my rates?

This data is typically collected through a device installed in the vehicle or via a mobile app. The purpose of telematics is to assess the driver's risk profile and driving habits accurately.
